Helping the Poor - Part 2
In my last post I talked about how keeping down the cost of oil and it’s byproducts - especially gasoline - was a way of helping the poor. But there are other factors also that impact the cost of goods and services. One of them is the current ethanol production issue. I am entirely in favor of finding ways to produce alcohol-based fuels as an alternative to gasoline.
Helping the Poor
It is ironic to me that the Democrats talk so much about helping the poor while opposing the very things that would do the most to help them. Let me mention a few that I am in favor of. First, one of the best ways to help the poor may be to give them the option of sending their kids to better schools. That is why I am in favor of school vouchers. It gives everyone the opportunity to decide what schools their children will attend, not just those of us who are well enough off to afford to do it.
TV Interview Upcoming
Last Friday I taped a half an hour interview with Alicia Smith of WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) that will be condensed to five minutes and shown on an upcoming segment of the evening news.
